Course Description

To undertake this training program you must be at least 13 years of age and have successfully passed the online Laws of the Game within the past two years.

This training program is aimed at match officials officiating in junior and youth matches.

The program consists of theory modules, practical sessions and practical mentoring in matches as a referee and assistant referee.
Upon completion of all components referees will be officially qualified as a Level 4 Referee. The qualification is valid for a period of up to 4 years.

Who should do this Course

Anyone who wants to referee 11 v 11 football at a local level.  Every referee - even World Cup referees - start from here.

Accreditation is compulsory in accordance with FFA National Registration Regulations.

Before Attending the Course
Prior to the course, each participant MUST complete FFA's online Laws of The Game module and present the completion certificate to the instructors on the day of the course. Click here.

The Course
Please note that the course will not be held at the ESFA offices. Confirmed participants will be sent the venue prior to the course.
The course involves a practical component. Please wear appropriate clothing and bring sunscreen and water. Lunch and snacks are not provided.
